🧩 VidRipper Chrome Extension

Rip a promo video and capture its real headline in one click — works on protected/gated pages, because it runs in your own browser.

Step 1 — Download & unzip

⬇ Download the extension (.zip)

Then double-click the downloaded file to unzip it. You'll get a folder called vidripper-extension. Keep it somewhere permanent (e.g. Documents) — don't delete it after installing.

Step 2 — Load it into Chrome

  1. Open a new tab and go to chrome://extensions
  2. Turn on Developer mode (toggle, top-right)
  3. Click Load unpacked (top-left)
  4. Select the unzipped vidripper-extension folder
  5. Click the puzzle-piece 🧩 icon in Chrome's toolbar and pin “VidRipper” so its button is always visible

Step 3 — Use it

  1. Open any promo page that has a video
  2. Click the VidRipper button in your toolbar
  3. A ✓ appears and the VidRipper dashboard opens with your new job — video + headline captured automatically

Updating later: download the zip again, replace the folder's contents, and click the refresh ↻ icon on the VidRipper card in chrome://extensions.
